VW battery unit PowerCo signs lithium supply deal with Canadian miner

Volkswagen Group battery unit PowerCo shored up its supply chain Dec. 18 with a binding offtake agreement and CDN $69 million (US $48 million) investment in Canada’s Patriot Battery Metals Inc., a miner developing a lithium project in northern Quebec.
