Subaru plans next-gen AI-based EyeSight system for in-house EV as early as 2027

The EyeSight system is mounted to the roof of a vehicle, near the rearview mirror.
Subaru says the next generation of its trademark EyeSight driver-assist system will use advanced image sensors from Onsemi to help achieve the automaker’s corporate goal of reducing traffic-related fatalities to zero in 2030. (SUBARU CORP.)

TOKYO — Subaru plans a next-generation EyeSight driver-assist system powered by artificial intelligence for its first internally developed electric vehicle as early as 2027.
