North America can seize EV leadership from China, GM battery chief says

DETROIT — The U.S. can seize global leadership on electric vehicle batteries as the customer base for EVs grows and policies geared toward boosting manufacturing in the region are implemented, said Kurt Kelty, General Motors' vice president of batteries.
