Software eases payments from cockpit

Hyundai Motor Group, General Motors, Tesla Inc. and other automakers already offer in-car payment solutions that allow connected vehicles to buy parking and fuel right through the cockpit. The technology has implications that go even beyond the automotive ecosystem. As drivers adjust to buying diverse goods and services through the car, J.P. Morgan and Economist Impact predict they "may start to see the car as a twin of their smartphone" for making travel-related purchases.
