Trump could push to eliminate restrictions to fast-track robotaxis and self-driving vehicles

Waymo robotaxis have proliferated in San Francisco, where the company operates about 300 vehicles. The company conducts driverless, commercial service in Phoenix, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and intends to expand to Austin, Texas, in early 2025. Trump administration decisions could affect that expansion.
