DETROIT — A UAW leader in charge of the Stellantis department on Friday called for Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares to step down and said he did not buy the company's argument that plans to postpone the reopening of Belvidere Assembly in Illinois were allowed under the terms of their national contract.
