UAW demands would mean ‘unsustainable' labour costs for Detroit 3, sources say

The UAW's list of contract demands — including more than 40-per-cent raises for members — would increase labour costs for the Detroit Three by $45 billion to $80 billion (all figures in USD) a year and threaten their future viability, according to calculations by people familiar with the companies' costs.
