Rivian's pivot to Ill. plant for R2 model saves time, money vs. future Georgia site

Rivian Automotive's pivot to its Normal, Ill., factory for production of the R2 crossover allows the model to get to market faster and saves more than $2 billion, compared with waiting for a Georgia plant to be constructed, the company said.
