Mitsubishi eyes U.S. market EV from Nissan as North America takes center stage

TOKYO — North America has emerged as Mitsubishi Motor Corp.'s top earnings engine, pushing the Japanese automaker to record profit as CEO Takao Kato looks to fortify the U.S. lineup with a full electric vehicle from partner Nissan and introduce a pickup truck.
