Unifor launches strike at 3 GM Canada operations; GM now faces major strikes in two countries

Unifor members at General Motors Canada initiated a strike at midnight after two weeks of intensive talks between the two sides failed to produce a deal comparable to the pattern agreement the union struck last month with Ford Motor Co. of Canada.
