BMW invests to boost battery production in South Carolina

BMW — BMW's Spartanburg plant has not had to reduce production capacity so far, but any additional barriers to global trade could change that, Zipse said.

BMW has invested about $10 million in its vehicle assembly plant in Spartanburg, S.C., to boost U.S. production of lithium ion battery packs.
