Automakers have pledged more than $40 billion in electric-vehicle investment in Canada since 2020, and now-former Innovation, Science and Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne said on March 12 that despite all the tariff turmoil, the Government of Canada plans to ensure automakers honour those investments and commitments.
