Mazda hits hybrid high gear as CEO Masahiro Moro teases new electrified technologies
The Mazda CX-80, shown at an Oct. 9 launch briefing in Yokohama, Japan, goes on sale in Japan and Europe this month. In both markets, its electrified options are a 48-volt mild hybrid mated to a 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine or a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder plug-in hybrid. (HANS GREIMEL)
