BYD’s Europe strategy takes shape, with new plants, PHEVs and upscale brands

TURIN — China’s biggest automaker, BYD, is ramping up its ambitions to be a top player in Europe with two new plants that will start production starting next year, with a combined annual capacity of 500,000 vehicles.
