Premium U.S. EV maker Lucid has entered the European market with a limited number of sales outlets in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Norway. After selling about 150 cars in 2023, Lucid hopes to sharply increase that number with four new stores in Germany and the introduction of the Air Pure rear-wheel-drive entry model, at about €85,000. Next in line is the Gravity SUV, and potentially a lower-priced midsize car. Eric Bach, senior vice president of product and chief engineer, who like Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson is a Tesla veteran, spoke with Automotive News Europe News Editor Peter Sigal and Burkhard Riering, publisher and editor of sister publication Automobilwoche, about the company's strategy at the Geneva auto show last month.
