SAN ANTONIO — Last year, executives at Toyota in Japan and Plano, Texas, learned that a key affiliated supplier, Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. Inc., planned to close its suspension components plant in Marion, Ark., by the end of 2027, leaving the automaker with a big problem.
