Cowger: Not just another suit on the factory floor

While attending high school in Kansas City, Kan., in the early 1960s, Gary Cowger had it in mind to play baseball at Kansas State. But one day a counselor told him, "You know, you have a lot of technical capability, and you really ought to go down and talk to General Motors."
