VW Group’s Scout Motors factory could become contract manufacturing hub

NASHVILLE — Scout Motors is still several years away from churning out electric pickups and SUVs at a South Carolina plant but the company is already looking at serving as a contract manufacturer for Volkswagen Group brands and other automakers.
