The vehicle of the future is powered by software – lots of it – riding on a flexible hardware platform. This type of connected vehicle is called the software-defined vehicle (SDV) and enables car makers to continuously (and more seamlessly) evolve their products long after the purchase date through over-the-air (OTA) software updates. In SDVs, data storage is key to future proofing the platform by providing the capacity, performance, security and resilience for current and updated cars.
