Tesla, Ford and Chevy suffer December EV slowdown, but U.S. registrations grow 23%

New electric vehicle registrations grew 23 percent in December and captured a near-record 8.8 percent of the U.S. light-vehicle market, but there were clear signs of a slowdown by segment leaders Tesla, Ford and Chevrolet, according to data from S&P Global Mobility.
