European car sales fall 3% in February despite gains at VW, Ford, BMW and Renault

Volkswagen brand more than doubled sales of its ID3, ID4 and ID Buzz full-electric models, Ford got a big lift from the battery-powered Explorer, Renault was a big winner thanks to a 21 percent sale increase for the Clio, and sales of BMW’s 5 Series rose 53 percent in February.
