Inventory declines on UAW strike against GM

The number of unsold cars and light trucks in the U.S. fell in October, aided by a lengthy strike against General Motors that shaved tens of thousands of units from its stocks. However, a weak October selling rate resulted in the days' supply calculation declining only slightly from a year ago.
