GM's Cruise faces NHTSA probe into pedestrian risks following incidents

The chief U.S. auto safety regulator said Tuesday it opened a probe into whether General Motors' self-driving unit Cruise has taken sufficient precautions with its autonomous vehicles to safeguard pedestrians.
