Valeo, Novares, demand up-front payment to cover tariff costs

PARIS — French automotive suppliers Valeo and Novares are asking customers to cover the full cost of new U.S. duties up front, company executives said, underlining the hit to global automakers from President Donald Trump’s tariffs on car imports.
