The 2023 Mackinac Policy Conference is underway at the Grand Hotel on Michigan's Mackinac Island. It's a marquee gathering of political, business, and nonprofit leaders in a state that is home to nearly 19 percent of all U.S. auto production -- more than any state in the nation -- according to the state.
