Hybrids still years away for VW in U.S., execs say

LOS ANGELES — Despite strong demand from Volkswagen’s U.S. dealers and a shift in consumer preferences, a hybrid vehicle from the namesake brand is still at least a few years away from arriving, key company executives confirmed.
