Dealerships and automakers that went into their own pockets to support consumer purchases of electric vehicles after the abrupt end of the Canadian government’s Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) program on Jan. 13 are unlikely to recoup their money, barring a major reversal from Ottawa.
