Gerry McGovern's successful reinvention of the Defender off-roader along with a smart reboot of the brand's best-seller, the Evoque compact SUV, have put Land Rover's global sales back on track. McGovern's ability imbue even the largest vehicles in the range with a surprising level of elegance earned him the Automotive News Europe 2020 Eurostar award for Design for Multiple Models. McGovern, who last month was promoted to chief creative officer at Jaguar Land Rover, discussed his next challenges in an interview.
