Top groups gaining share

The top 10 groups on our list and the top 150 overall hit new milestones in share of industry new-vehicle sales collectively delivered in 2022. The top 10 commanded 10.2 percent of industry new-vehicle sales, up nearly a full point of share and crossing the 10 percent threshold for the first time. The top 150 sold 24.8 percent of industry new-vehicle sales, up by a half-point. A handful of groups on the list included sales from a small but undetermined number of used-only and non-U.S. outlets and motorcycle, recreational vehicle and powersports stores.
