Audi launches redesigned long-wheelbase A6

Audi AG has started selling the redesigned long-wheelbase Audi A6L in China.The previous version of Audi's stretched sedan has been China's best-selling luxury car.The German luxury brand has raised the A6L's list price. The new version will cost 383,000 to 742,600 yuan ($60,794 to $117,873); the previous model had a price range of 355,000 to 699,900 yuan.The redesigned sedan is 5,015 mm long, 1,874 mm wide and 1,455 mm tall.It is built at the Changchun plant operated by FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., a joint venture between China FAW Group Corp. and Volkswagen AG.Top rivals include stretched versions of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5-Series.China is Audi's largest market. Other top-selling Audis include the stretched A4L sedan and the Q5 SUV, which are built at the Changchun plant.Last year, Audi sold 305,920 vehicles in China, of which more than one-third were the Audi A6L, according to LMC Automotive.
