Nov. new-car sales jump 18% behind government scrappage program, trade group estimates

SHANGHAI — China’s new-vehicle market, stimulated by a government scrappage program, has rebounded three straight months, with sales increasing 18 percent in November from a year earlier, according to a preliminary tally by the China Passenger Car Association.
