The first turbocharged Corvette packs the most powerful factory V-8 ever produced by a U.S. automaker. The 2025 Corvette ZR1’s 5.5-litre twin-turbo V-8 — a modified version of the Z06’s engine — gener- ates 1,064 horsepower. The Z06 makes 670. Buyers get a beefed-up version of the standard eight-speed paddle-shift transmission. The ZR1 is scheduled for produc- tion next year at the company’s Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Ky. Pricing hasn’t been released.
