Chrysler, Maserati end venture that produced the TC
The TC was first available with a 2.2-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. A Mitsubishi V-6 engine was offered later. A third powertrain -- a 16-valve Cosworth-modified 4-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual transmission -- was also available later. Some 7,300 TCs were sold with the last batch lingering until dealers dangled fat discounts.
