INNOVATION: Automakers have been searching for a way to shrink their side-view mirrors as regulation on technology is resulting in larger sizes, impacting sustainability targets and overall vehicle style. MCi responded with Combi Drive, an all-in-one, multi-axis actuator that replaces both the glass and powerfold actuators of traditional mirror units. Deploying a single actuator that is capable of handling two functions results in a significantly reduced package size with fewer required connections.
