Former FCA general counsel Loeb joins Chicago law firm

Fiat Chrysler’s former senior vice president and general counsel, Marjorie Loeb, has been named a partner in the corporate and securities practice of Mayer Brown in Chicago, the law firm announced today.Loeb, 52, left FCA US in mid-August after three years and nine months as the automaker’s senior vice president, corporate secretary and general counsel. She originally joined FCA in 2010 after working at supplier Delphi Corp. for seven years. At the time of her separation from FCA, a company spokeswoman said that Loeb had resigned to spend more time with her family, which lived out of state.With several automakers as corporate clients, Mayer Brown is lead legal adviser to the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center “for cybersecurity awareness and coordination across the industry,” the firm said in its release. It said Loeb “will play a pivotal role in Mayer Brown’s Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Initiative” dealing with commercial, regulatory, data security and compliance matters around those technologies.Loeb, a graduate of Harvard Law School, was named one of Automotive News’ 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry in 2015.
