Dow Kokam to open Michigan battery plant in 2012

DETROIT -- Dow Kokam has acquired French battery-pack assembler Societe de Vehicles Electriques and will open a Michigan battery-cell plant in 2012, Dow Kokam CEO Ravi Shanker said Tuesday at the Detroit auto show.
