Cap Gemini (retired)
Pierre Durand retired as a vice president of Cap Gemini in 2003. He has since provided management consulting to the automotive industry, addressing primarily the European manufacturers. At the start of his career in the 60’s, he served in various management positions in the European organization of a computer manufacturer and finally took responsibility as vice president large systems for Europe. In 1989 he joined Cap Gemini, one of the major global IT and management consulting firms. He held management positions in Cap Gemini first in the French organization as vice president, manufacturing department. After 1995 he started the newly created Global Automotive Market Development Unit. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Durand created and developed the Cap Gemini Global Automotive Centre of Excellence.
