Bin-Nun: It's about freedom of movement

Amitai Bin-Nun is vice president of autonomous vehicles and mobility innovation at Securing America’s Future Energy, a nonprofit in Washington, D.C. Before joining that group, Bin-Nun advised executives on the implications of emerging vehicle technologies and partnered with IBM Watson to explore potential financial services applications for cognitive computing. He also was a fellow at the Department of Energy and in the office of Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del.

Urmson: We can't accept the status quo

Chris Urmson is the co-founder and CEO of Aurora, a self-driving-technology company. Before founding Aurora, Urmson helped build Google’s self-driving car program and was chief technology officer. Urmson also was previously a faculty member of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

Broussard: Self-driving will never work

Meredith Broussard is a data journalism professor at New York University and author of Artificial Unintelligence: How Computers Misunderstand the World. Her research focuses on AI in investigative reporting, with a particular interest in using data analysis for social good. Broussard also has worked as a software developer at AT&T Bell Labs and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab.

Nunes: Benefits won't be shared

Ashley Nunes studies transportation safety, regulatory policy and behavioral economics. Nunes' writing has appeared in the Financial Times, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, The Atlantic, the New Statesman and the American Scientist. He earned his doctorate in engineering psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
