KAR to spin off salvage auction business IAA

Flood-damaged cars and trucks jam the IAA Houston auction site.

KAR Auction Services Inc. said Tuesday that it will spin off its salvage auction business unit within the next 12 months so both entities will be able to focus on their separate priorities and boost shareholder value.
