Mercedes plans more SUVs

SUVs and crossovers dominate the Mercedes-Benz display at the 2018 Detroit auto show. SUVs paced an almost 10 percent jump in total sales at Mercedes-Benz last year, expanding the brand's global lead over BMW. (BLOOMBERG)

Mercedes-Benz will respond to growing demand for SUVs by expanding its lineup with more models, most likely in the fast-growing compact segment.
