Marchionne says FCA not in a position to hold merger talks

Marchionne has run hot and cold about getting together with Volkswagen.

AMSTERDAM -- Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne rowed back on his search for a merger on Friday, saying the group was not in a position to seek deals and would focus instead on developing its business plan.
