Judge 'inclined' to approve VW emissions settlement with owners

WASHINGTON -- A federal judge, indicating he’s “strongly inclined” to do so, will decide by Oct. 25 whether to approve Volkswagen’s $10.03 billion settlement with nearly half a million owners of diesel vehicles that don’t meet U.S. emissions laws, or if the plan should be modified.
