Most small crossover headlights are deficient, IIHS says

The 2017 Ford Escape was one of four crossovers with an "acceptable" rating for headlights.

WASHINGTON -- Despite an influx of new headlight technologies in recent years, most small crossovers do a lousy job of illuminating the road ahead, according to a new set of evaluations released today by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
