Ford F-150 leads pickups in IIHS' corner crash tests

The IIHS report said "extensive intrusion" was seen in the occupant compartment of the Ram 1500 Quad Cab, left, resulting in a poor rating for structure. The Ford F-­150 SuperCab, right, had survival space that "held up well," the report said.

WASHINGTON -- The 2016 Ford F-150 SuperCab was the only full-size pickup to take home a “good” rating among the nameplates tested in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s latest small-overlap crash test.
