Senate bill aims to secure cars from hackers, protect consumer privacy

WASHINGTON (Bloomberg) -- A bill proposed by Senators Edward Markey, D-Mass., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., would direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Federal Trade Commission to establish rules that would secure cars against hackers and protect consumer privacy.
